possible limits on billing 96127 emotional/behavioral assessments

01 July 2017 - 05:40 PM

Hello,

My new boss says that we can only bill for these assessments once per patient. I see that we are allowed only 2 units on a claim but I can't see anywhere where it says bill only once per patient. Anybody out there have any other info on this?

Looking to network with other Physician Wound Care billers.

01 July 2017 - 05:36 PM

Hello,

I am billing and coding for a PCP who also specializes in Wound Care in Northern Indiana. I am hoping to find and network with other biller's and coders in the physician side of wound care. I would also like to find and know of any good workshops/training for wound care billing/coding. I did find one and attended it in 2016, but was not able to attend this year, it would be nice to know of other venues.

Charging for Controls and Histamine

01 July 2017 - 05:33 PM

Hello,

When doing Allergy Skin Testing, not venom or drug testing just regular food or otherwise; can the controls and Histamines be added to the charges as well? So if 53 pricks were done for foods and there was 1 prick for control and 1 prick for the histamine could we charge 55 all together?

Dermatology add-on codes Medicaid denying

01 July 2017 - 05:31 PM

Hello,

Anybody else having issues with Medicaid denying add-on codes such as 11101 or 17003? They are paying the primary code but not the add-on.
What is going on?! Thanks!
